Suspemsion of Permits for visiting Ha Long Bay due to the impact of Wipha Typhoon

Following the direct instructions of a member of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Ninh Province, and in order to proactively prevent and respond to the impacts of Typhoon WIPHA and the current developments of abnormal weather conditions, as well as to promptly ensure the safety of passengers and vessels, the Inland Waterway Port Authority and the Inland Waterway Vessel Registration Department request that all affiliated representatives implement the following measures:

1. Temporarily suspend the issuance of departure permits for all passenger transport vessels operating in Ha Long Bay, and for those transporting passengers on island routes and between islands within the province, effective from July 20, 2025. • Vessels returning to the mainland to disembark passengers will continue to be granted departure permits.

2. Continue to closely monitor the developments of the weather situation and promptly notify port and wharf owners, vessel owners, and captains so that they can proactively take appropriate safety measures. • Do not be negligent or subjective in light of the potential impact of the storm
