DAY 1: HANOI – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – NGUOM NGAO CAVE (L,D)
06:00 – 06:55: Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
07:00: Depart Hanoi and begin your scenic journey to Ban Gioc Waterfall – one of the most magnificent transnational waterfalls in the world, located on the border between Vietnam and China.
12:45 – 13:00: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant upon arrival in Cao Bang Province.
After lunch, visit the stunning Ban Gioc Waterfall up close. Here, you’ll have free time to admire the spectacular scenery, take photos, or opt for a bamboo raft ride near the base of the falls (self-funded).
Continue the journey to explore Nguom Ngao Cave – known as the “Sound of the Tiger.” Be amazed by its vast chambers, dramatic stalactites, and underground wonders carved over millennia.
16:30: Check in at a hotel near Ban Gioc Waterfall and unwind.
18:30: Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Hotel near Ban Gioc Waterfall.
DAY 2: BAN GIOC PAGODA – CAMPING AT ANGEL’S EYE MOUNTAIN ( B, L,D)
07:00: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
08:30 – 09:00: Depart for Ban Gioc Pagoda, a peaceful temple offering panoramic views over Ban Gioc Waterfall and the surrounding border landscape.
Then continue to Angel’s Eye Mountain (Mat Than Mountain / Thung Mountain), famous for its giant circular hole piercing through the limestone peak — a geological wonder nestled in Quang Uyen District.
12:00: Stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route.
After lunch, transfer to the camping site at Angel’s Eye Mountain either by motorbike or car (depending on terrain and weather).
15:30 – 16:00: Arrive at the campsite. The Cao Bang Camping Team will welcome you, assist with tent setup, and help you store personal belongings.
17:00 – 18:00: Free time to relax or enjoy nature-based activities such as:

Swimming in the stream

Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP)
-
Cycling to explore the surrounding landscapes

Watching the sunset
Note: Water-based activities are only available during the rainy season (April–August).
If you’d like a hot or cold shower, a host family house 300m away will be available for bathing.
18:30: Gather for a BBQ dinner in nature.
Toast the evening with local Cao Bang corn wine. Other beverages like Strongbow, beer, soft drinks, or imported wine can be pre-ordered (not included in the tour) or brought along.
20:30: Cozy up around the campfire – roast corn, chat with fellow travelers, or simply enjoy the mountain breeze and starry sky.
23:00: Lights out. Air mattresses and sleeping bags are provided to ensure a good night’s rest in your tent.
Overnight: In tents at Angel’s Eye Mountain campsite.
DAY 3: ANGEL’S EYE MOUNTAIN – HANOI ( B,L)
06:00: Wake up early to catch the peaceful sunrise over the mountains.
06:30: Enjoy a light breakfast: Vietnamese pâté bread or instant noodles with hot coffee.
08:00: Free time for more outdoor activities such as:

SUP paddling or stream bathing (seasonal)

Hiking or simply relaxing in nature
Then, take a short trek to the summit of Angel’s Eye Mountain for a final breathtaking view.
09:30 – 10:00: Pack up and clean the campsite.
10:00: Return tents and say goodbye to the camping crew.
11:30: Have lunch at a local restaurant in Quang Uyen District.
After lunch, board the bus and begin your journey back to Hanoi.
18:30: Arrive in Hanoi. End of tour.
